Dr. Amend’s “Pheromone Advantage” (Don’t Believe Everything You Read)

Dr. Amend’s “Pheromone Advantage” has been popping up on the internet lately, and it is another product that simply FAILS to live up to its own promises.

*Sigh*… here we go again. Another pheromone vendor that tries to make unrealistic claims just to make a buck.

NOTE: I have received an email from Dr. Amend’s son, who claims he is a real doctor.

I originally claimed that the doctor may have been a persona, or just made up to give the product credibility.

But since we can’t prove it either way I’ll leave it up to you to decide whether he’s a real person or not.

Now this product has been floating around the internet since about 2007, so it’s been a while.

But it is still an active company and it is still trying to rip people out of their hard earned money.

In a moment, I’ll talk about the actual product, what I think of it (you probably have a good idea already), and their marketing strategies for pushing this low quality product.

All over the internet, you are going to notice this product being sold on “health” websites, as well as your typical affiliate scam sites.

Basically, these websites are only selling the product to generate a commission.

You probably already know that 99% of these “review” sites haven’t even used the product.

Like this guy below, from the website “pheromones for him and her”:

This idiot gives the product a rating of 87/100 (completely made up)… then alludes to the fact he doesn’t own the product.

This is just one example of many… these fake “reviews” are littered all over the internet.

Now let’s talk about the actual product.

Dr. Amend also claims that his product has 3 pheromones:

• Androstadienone
• Androstenone
• 3-Beta-Androstenol

While these pheromones are legit, the actual product formulation for Dr. Virgil A. Amend’s Pheromone Advantage simply doesn’t work (in my experiences with it).

It either has a very low concentration of these pheromones, OR, the ratio of these pheromones is not tweaked properly to create any noticeable effects… if anything, your natural pheromones probably do more by themselves.

Whatever it is, the product makes fantastic claims of being suddenly irresistible to the opposite sex, making you a babe magnet, and the same old rubbish we hear from the likes of Pherazone, Nexus Pheromones, PherX etc.

Okay Dr. Amend… explain why you need to SHILL if the product works?

If you don’t know what shilling is (and you really should, especially if you regularly buy things off the internet), it’s basically when people are paid to go and write positive things about a product.

Pretty much every scam pheromone vendor I’ve come across has an army of people that look up reviews, forums, and other mediums to try and claim how miraculous any certain product is.

One of the most hysterical examples is “mobocaster”, that hangs out in the Pherotalk forums every day, and has racked up over 10,000 posts answering questions on the forum.

Would anyone in their right mind spend countless hours on a forum about pheromones… answering questions over and over… making recommendations and more…

… do it WITHOUT being paid?

There is no way anyone would bother, or do it for free.

Here’s an obvious shill for Dr. Amends “Pheromone Advantage” I found on Pherotalk forum.

I also sent an email recently telling people to avoid this low quality product, and received feedback from several people.

Hey, PheroJoe, it’s ironic that you mention this particular pheromone product since lately True Pheromones has been sending out newsletters about “Dr Amend’s Pheromone Advantage” and I’ve received two emails in the past two days from them trying to sell us on this product, and the emails hype the product up in a similar manner like many of those shady pheromones like Pherlure and Nexus try to do. To me it seems fishy that a legitimate pheromone company would try to refer people to a product that doesn’t do much and isn’t as useful as their own product line.

I once fell for their marketing of this product, bought 3 bottles and only used one for a little while and didn’t notice much happening. Of course that was before I found out about some real pheromones and read about them from your old review site. Keep up the good work though! Hopefully you’ll save plenty of people the time and their money from buying these useless products. Looking forward to a real review on “Dr Amend’s Pheromone Disadvantage” and some other good products from real vendors.

Hi Phero Joe, I recently read about this product called Dr. Amend’s Pheromone Advantage and went against by better judgement. I fell for the product ad hook, line, and sinker. Even though I should have known better, I was still atleast somewhat hopeful that the product would do SOMETHING, especially considering it was formulated by a doctor. Low and behold, the product arrived and didn’t do ANYTHING that it said it would, not even a positive reaction from any female coworkers (and I work with many of them). I will avoid buying outside anything recommend by House Of Pheromones now, the products I’ve got so far through you have been great!

We can’t know for sure who’s shilling and who’s not, but there are companies that will pay for positive reviews.

Does Dr. Amend do this? I can’t say for sure – but one thing is for certain… Amazon results will show up very high in the search results, so it is possible that the positive reviews are paid for (considering the vast majority of people I’ve talked to that have experienced little to no results with the product).

Pherlure, PherX, and Nexus among several others are also guilty of doing this.

The few positive reviews say little about the effects, and seem to describe normal interactions with women who are usually significant others or in a relationship – not women you are unacquainted with.

The impact pheromones have on attraction can be significant with the right product, but it’s highly inaccurate when you “test” on your girlfriend or wife, or women you already know.

It is also possible that the products we’re bought and paid for, just to write “verified” reviews.

Several people have been caught doing this before (in fact, Amazon recently sued 1000+ spammers who were paid reviewers for products).

The negative reviews below reflect what most veteran pheromone users experience… absolutely ZERO effects.

These are all VERIFIED purchases, meaning they have PROVED they bought the products, then left these reviews.

Sometimes products on Amazon (even popular ones) an have GLOWING 5 star reviews, and still be absolute garbage too.

One of them is called Raw Chemistry – and with proof they enticed positive, “verified reviews” in exchange for free products.

As you can see, the product simply fails in every way imaginable…

Dr. Amend’s Pheromone Advantage makes claims like… 

SCIENTIFIC DISCOVERY: New Lust Hormone Scent “Attracts The Opposite Sex Like a Magnet”… Without Having to DO or SAY anything different.

… then fails to deliver a MODICUM of any of its promised effects.

What I really don’t understand is that if a pheromone vendor is going to put so much money into marketing a product, why don’t they atleast try to come up with something half way decent first?

That way, we could all avoid the disappointment of flushing good money down the drain for a worthless product.

But that’s not how the world works I guess – some people are just in it for the money, and will rip people off to get it.

As for whether “Dr. Amend” is a real person, there is no information available on him from anywhere. Except his own website, and various fake review websites.

As I mentioned earlier in the review, I did receive an email supposedly from Dr. Amend’s son saying that he is a real doctor. 

I removed that part claiming it was probably made up, because I can’t say for sure, but let’s be honest – just because someone says they’re a doctor (especially on the internet), it needs to be taken with a grain of salt.

I also looked up the address listed on his website through Google maps, and it looks to be a residential address.

(the address listed on his website is Dr. Amend Direct LLC, 11841 O’Neil St., Wichita, KS 67212)

Not a lab, office, or somewhere you would think a proper pheromone operation is happening.

Make of that what you will.

Whatever the case, if he really exists or not, the products blows ass and I suggest you avoid it like the plague.

I will continue to update the public about low quality pheromone products like this that start to get out of hand.

P.S. A few hours after posting this review, I received an email from Dr. Amend’s son claiming that this review is BS, and are threatening legal action against House Of Pheromones… even though reviews from several of my readers as well as VERIFIED buyers of the product from Amazon say the same thing: the product doesn’t even come close to it’s fantastic claims made on the website. For example:

“Imagine walking into a crowded venue alone. As you make your way through the many people, eyes begin to follow your every move. When you stop and turn, you notice lingering looks and smiles greeting your glace as you look back. In no time at all,  you’re no longer alone and the possibilities for the night now seem endless.”

I didn’t receive any effect like that from the product, and neither have a bunch of other people who have been in contact with me. With that said, this is all STRICTLY my opinion, and you can either take it or leave it. They are claiming that this review is “defamation” – which it is not, this is a REVIEW of the product, one that fails to live up to it’s own promises, in my experience with it.
